Desiree Gutierrez

Founder & CEO, Autism Ingenuity Foundation, Inc.

About Me

Desiree Gutierrez is the Founder and CEO of Autism Ingenuity Foundation, Inc. (AIF), a nonprofit organization dedicated to supporting individuals on the autism spectrum and those with special needs. Inspired by her personal journey raising her son Gene—who was diagnosed with Autism at a young age—Desiree established the foundation in March 2025 to empower families like hers through advocacy, education, and community support.

A devoted mother and passionate advocate, Desiree has spent years learning everything she could about Autism in order to provide Gene with the tools and opportunities to thrive. Believing in the power of early intervention, she dedicated herself to ensuring that her son would grow into the confident, kind, and uniquely gifted young man he is today. Gene’s progress continues to inspire others, and he now shares his own story to help give voice to the Autism community.

In addition to her advocacy work, Desiree is a Licensed Vocational Nurse in the State of California. She earned her Vocational Nursing Certificate in 2013 and became licensed in 2014. In 2016, she graduated from Citrus College in Glendora, CA, with multiple Associate degrees in Arts and Science, with a focus on Vocational Nursing.

With a professional background in healthcare and a personal mission grounded in love and resilience, Desiree combines her compassion and determination to lead Autism Ingenuity Foundation with heart and purpose. Her work continues to bring hope, connection, and support to families across Southern California and beyond.
