About Me
Jim Brown serves as the Secretary of Autism Ingenuity Foundation, bringing with him a distinguished background in military service, law enforcement, and public safety. A proud U.S. Marine Corps veteran, Jim completed eight years of service beginning in 1996, including both active duty and reserve time.
In 2000, Jim began his law enforcement career with the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department, where he was assigned to the Inmate Reception Center. He later earned a second Associate Certificate in Peace Officer Standards and Training (POST) from East Los Angeles College. In 2006, he transitioned to the City of Anaheim Police Department, where he served with honor until his retirement in 2023.
Jim holds a Liberal Arts degree from Fullerton College and a Bachelor of Science in Criminal Justice from California Coast University.
In addition to his professional accomplishments, Jim is a devoted father to two children on the autism spectrum, each with different diagnoses and needs. With nearly 20 years of personal experience navigating life as a special needs parent, he brings invaluable insight, compassion, and dedication to his role at Autism Ingenuity Foundation.
Now active in his community, Jim volunteers with the Vantage Point Church Safety Team and the Jurupa Community Services District (JCSD) Parks Ambassadors Program. His lived experience, combined with his lifelong commitment to public service, fuels his passion for advocacy and supporting families impacted by autism and special needs.
Jim is a vital and compassionate voice on the Autism Ingenuity Foundation team.
